Calgary Kitchen Renovation

You must see this 1972 Bi-level in the heart of Thorncliffe, east of centre street. This home underwent an incredible transformation where the interior was completely torn out and rebuilt from the studs. Inspired by the homeowner’s collection of “barn red” kitchen appliances and her desire for a farmhouse style sink, the design concept evolved to include subtle details throughout the home, which could be found in a traditional homestead – but with a twist. The field stone shapes of the amazing foyer light fixture, bead board paneling in the powder room, wall sconces representing sheaths of wheat and paint colours reminiscent of a prairie setting (i.e. “thunderstorm” accent wall) all combined with clean, simple and unique details which work together to create a custom design we labeled “Farmhouse Chic”.
